Collector Canes and Who is Behind It.
Collector Canes is a business
operated by Doug & Zella Perry in
Wallace, Nova Scotia, Canada. We are a senior couple deciated to high
quality novelties. We personally hand carve each wooden cane and
customize it to meet specific requirements. Canes are made for walking,
hiking, wading, and working.
Collector Canes are Different.
Our canes are crafted from Nova Scotia hardwoods - maple, birch, oak,
wild cherry, beech, hawthorn, and apple wood.
Walking canes may have carved heads of antler, horn, hardwood or glass.
Shapes are folk art to formal with duck heads, birds, fish, daschund, snake,
cow, pig, rosebud, knobs, or medical cane handles. We are always open to
new ideas and your requests. Most canes are made 36" in height or longer.
Canes can be shortened but they can't be made longer.
Hiking sticks are between elbow and shoulder height (48" to 60") and
range from simple thumb sticks to eagles, owls, squirrels, and gnomes, and
even Farenghi friend Quork from Star Trek.
Shepherd's crooks are 60" to 72" tall with crooks of hardwood, or sheep
horn, natural or adorned with carvings and can be used for tending a flock,
woolly or religious.
