  • Shelburne County Women's FishNet
    One of our sister sites. Many Women's Resource programs are ran here at the Samuel Wood Museum Complex.
  • Western Counties Regional Library
    This is the Western Counties Regional Library's website. A very good resource.
  • South Shore Local Search and Directory
    This website bursts at the seams with information about the South Shore of Nova Scotia.
  • Web-Based E-Mail

    You can check your web-based e-mail on any computer, anywhere in the world.

  • Hotmail
    Free e-mail, which can be accessed from any computer with the internet, anywhere in the world.
  • Yahoo
    Yahoo mail has the same deal as hotmail, but they offer more storage space. There may be other little differences.
  • mail.chek.com
    mail.chek.com offers many different e-mail addresses to choose from. People who consider themselves fanatical about just about anything get their e-mail here.
  • Search Engines

    Where would we be without search engines? We'd never find anything that's on the Internet, I guess. Here are a few of the best.

  • Google
    Google is a highly effective, highly recommended search engine.
  • Metacrawler
    Metacrawler is a personal favorite of mine. You can change the colours, search websites from specific areas, anything.
  • Yahoo
    Yahoo is good if you're looking up something very specific, such as a large company. I don't recommend it if you're just surfing the net for entertainment purposes.
  • Dogpile
    Dogpile is a favorite at my school's library. Very easy to use, very efficient.
  • News Sites

    Keep up-to-date on the latest news.

  • Canoe
    A great Canadian news website.
  • time.com
    Time Magazine's website. Lots of interesting, up-to-date global news.
  • refdesk.com
    So much info, I can't even being to tell you what's here. Well worth a visit, it's a very well designed site.
