We  contacted the reviewer and he had this to say about his trip:
"I lived in Nova Scotia all my life till I moved to Boston last year. Living in Halifax I was always exposed to the sea and all the rich stories of travel, tragedy and of course wartime. It was, shall I say, a very spiritual event in my life to visit a place where one can see and feel the great history and tragedy that happened there. I was struck with the sheer beauty of the island. Part of this beauty was the remoteness of the island and the fact that it is not easy to get to. It was like a pilgrimage in a way. It served as a focal point, a culmination of all the emotions from all those stories of the sea."
