ADVENTURE WEEK 2012

MINISTRY PROGRAMS

 

Adventure Week, August 19 – 25, 2012

 

                     

 

Under the leadership of Brigade staff and leaders, we promise six days of age-appropriate adventure, action, challenge and just plain FUN!  Boys and leaders alike make memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.  Instruction and supervision are provided by mature, qualified men.  Programs for two age divisions run simultaneously; one for boys 8 to 11 years of age and another for young men aged 12 to 15 years.

Our Camp runs from Sunday to Saturday.  Please plan to arrive at Camp between 2 and 3 p.m., Sunday.

JUNIOR ACTION – ages 8 to 11 years

 

Come join seven or eight other boys from across Ontario for a week you will never forget.  Our cabins will be home for you, your friends (new and old) and both a Senior and Junior Leader.  There are plenty of activities to choose from:

                          

          

§          BB Guns

§          Outdoor Survival Skills

§         Swimming & Water Sports

§          Canoeing (ages 10 & 11 years)

§          Fishing

§          Wood Crafts

§     Archery     

§     Mountain Biking

§     Sling Shots

  

       

                                                              

 

SENIOR ACTION   ages 12 to 15 years

Different skill instruction, games programs, campfires and even bedtimes are enjoyed by this age division.  The following activities are offered:

 THE TOTAL REGULAR FEE IS $350.00 FOR THE WEEK, INCLUDING ALL TAXES, OR $325.00 FOR AN EARLY TOTAL REGISTRATION by July 1, 2012. 

 

IF, IN THE CHRISTIAN SERVICE BRIGADE WEEKLY PROGRAM, YOU HAVE COMPLETED FOUR BLOCKHOUSES OR FOUR STATIONS OR TWO BATTALION RANKS, IN THE PAST YEAR, AND YOU REGISTER BY JULY 1, YOUR CAMP FEE IS JUST $300.00!

 

ALSO, IF YOU BRING A NEW CAMPER PAYING THE $350.00 REGULAR CAMP FEE, YOUR FEE WILL BE JUST $300.00 – A SAVINGS OF $50.00!!!

 

 

  FATHER / SON FALL WEEKEND

            October 5 to October 7 /12

This is a special fall weekend for fathers and their sons aged 6 to 15 years to enjoy God’s natural artwork at its best. Grandfathers, uncles, adult brothers and even leaders have also enjoyed this weekend with an interested boy.

Saturday morning, father/son pairs participate in their choice of activities like archery, air riflery, wall climbing, kayaking and canoeing.  The afternoon begins with free time.  Later, we enjoy a craft together.  Come see the BEAUTIFUL fall colours!

 

 THE FEE FOR THE FATHER AND SON WEEKEND IS A TOTAL OF $150.00 FOR A FATHER AND SON PAIR, AND $50.00 FOR EACH EXTRA SON. 

Early registration, by September 1, 2012, is just $140.00.

STAFF

 

In addition to the volunteer adult staff, we are always looking for young men aged 16 to 18 years, who will serve as Assistant Counselors.  If you are a Junior leader in your Battalion, we especially need you at Camp for Adventure Week.  We will provide you with all you need for a successful and rewarding experience.  Some further Leader Material is available on this web site.  If you are interested, contact Captain Harold TODAY.
